Trip 1: South Island Tour

We will begin our tour at the southern tip of the island at Prasonisi, the green island, where the Aegean Sea meets the Mediterranean. Windsurfers are often seen showing off their skills in the choppy waters and you will be able to watch them as you take a walk along the long sandy beach. Next stop is the village of Apollakia which has a lively central square where you will find one of the most beautiful buildings in the region, a classic example of Italian architecture from when the Italians ruled the island. Set on the pine covered slopes of Mount Ataviros, our next stop is the medieval Monolithos Castle. Once you have a chance to take a wander and take some photos, we will go to Sianna for lunch* in one of the traditional tavernas. Our last stops on the way back is the leafy village of Vati and Gennadi where we will take you to the one of the best bakeries on the island.
